Inspired by a visit from the Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery, Tibet, this series of paintings and collages entitled “MANDALAS AND MONKS” emerged.

During their presentation, these monks constructed a sand mandala for world peace. They chanted and played their mystical music. Grain by grain this work was layered with color and images, building an architecture of enlightenment.

Deep inside me a small bell rang, it grows louder with each painting... Can you hear it?
